Bianco di Bellona , Irpinia Coda Di Volpe Doc

Obtained from the vinification of the Coda di Volpe grape variety, this Bianco di Bellona is dedicated to Bellona the beautiful goddess of war who was as ruthless in battle as she was sweet and yielding “at rest”. According to legend, she liked to celebrate her victories together with the troops by offering them this enchanting wine.

Production area: vineyards located in the hilly area of Carazita, in the southern side of the municipality of Luogosanto.
Altitude: 300 meters a.s.l.

Soil type: clayey – calcareous.

Vinification: the grapes, picked in mid-October, are selected in the vineyard and in the cellar where they are left to cool at 8°C for 12 hours and then pressed. First pressings are then separated and clarified with a cold processing system through sedimentation.
Fermentation is controlled at a low temperature (15°C -18°C) to fully preserve the fruity aromas of the grapes. Ageing in the bottle for 2 months.

Organoleptic features Colour: straw yellow with golden hues.
Nose: fresh and fruity with notes of pineapple and apricot; In the mouth: full, round, suave and very persistent.

Food match: Excellent with all fish-based dishes, it a pleasant accompaniment to white meats served with light sauces. Thanks to its roundness, this wine is very pleasant with desserts. Serve at a temperature of 10°C.
